Circa 1900 solid oak stair bannister post – column – spindle.
This is supposedly from Yale University.
Has original golden oak finish. Measures 4.75″ square – measures a total of 29.5″ long on edge – if you were to ‘flatten’ top edge would be 27″ long.
Bottom has a metal plate with part of old tie rod still attached – this needs to be removed for it to sit flat.
Nice form & large size!
PLEASE NOTE: you are buying architectural salvaged items. These are nearly 100 years old – have been outside in the elements for a long time. They do NOT look like they came off the shelf at Lowe’s or Home Depot. They have character flaws, dings, dents, bangs, & bumps along with OLD PAINT! All of these blemishes give them character!
